Spreading Holiday Joy with Susie's Story

Isn't it wonderful how a room filled with holiday decorations does something to the soul? It instantly lifts our spirits by its beauty, brings back fond memories of past Christmases, and gives us renewed hope.

I participated in a holiday craft faire this past week. When I arrived and saw that I was assigned a table right in front of the gorgeous Christmas tree, I was ecstatic! It was the perfect location for a holiday-themed book.

This was the first time that I was assigned a square table. Boy did that throw me. I'm used to a rectangular table where I can display my books in a row. For this one, I flooded one half of the table with Dog at the Tinsel Tree because of its Christmas relevance. I ended up putting my other two books and one anthology on the other half of the table (although I see some copies of my horse book in this photo.) I had books facing this way and that, and there was still a lot of empty space. It felt a bit odd, but readers seemed okay with it as they browsed around my table. I'd love your advice on how to create an even better display next time.

Thank you so much for sticking with me through the ups and downs of my writer's journey. Your unwavering support during it all, and excitement when good things come my way, means the world to me.
I started entering Dog at the Tinsel Tree in award contests, hoping for good fortune to repeat itself as with Rabbit at the Sliding Door. Fingers crossed!

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas!
